Tau, Bilbao Basket and GBC, closer to their targets

The three ASTORE teams currently competing in the ACB are ever closer to seeing their targets achieved. El Tau Baskonia overcame CAI Zaragoza without any big scares (96-76) and are still leaders of the ordinary stage.

Iurbentia Bilbao Basket beat Kalise Gran Canaria by 76 to 66 and continue their fight to be in the play offs for the title. Gipuzkoa Basket, for their part, thrashed MMT Estudiantes (84-60) and practically guaranteed their staying in the category for another season.

So, day 31 could not have been more positive for the three ASTORE teams. Tau Baskonia practically have top spot in the ordinary league in their pocket, as the team in second place, Barcelona, is two wins away from the team from Vitoria. Iurbentia Bilbao Basket, for their part, are still fighting to be among the top eight, which will enable them to dispute the play off for the title. After the win against Gran Canaria, the team from the province of Vizcaya are in tenth place, just one victory away from eighth. San Sebastián Gipuzkoa Basket took a giant step forward to continuing in the ACB next season, after easily beating Estudiantes.
