The Tracy jacket, awarded at the APEX Awards 2011 POLARTEC

2011-05-27Polartec, LLC, the company that develops, manufactures and commercialises Polartec® performance fabrics has announced the European winners of the APEX awards in its 2011 edition.

 

This prestigious prize is awarded to the best clothing made with Polartec® fabrics as a base, which will be available to the public in Autumn 2011. A Polartec® panel of judges selects the winners based on style, functionality and clothing fit, as well as the most innovative and appropriate use of Polartec® clothing in the designs. 
 
Among the dozen of clothes presented, the panel of judges selected thirteen European winners, which range from thermal insulation layers, to tactical hi tech parts that are fireproof in the latest in protective clothing against extreme weather. 
The panel of judges awarded the Astore Tracy Jacket, and the Ternua Kilbeg Pant trousers. With these two, between the two brands and Doire, the three belonging to Import Arrasate, add up to a total of 14 APEX awards. 

  • Astore Tracy Jacket : Using the Polartec® Wind Pro® clothing, Astore designed the Tracy jacket thinking about current fashion trends. Polartec® Wind Pro® with Hardface® is four times more wind resistant than a traditional polar fleece jacket, while offering breathability, and its Hardface® water resistant surface rejects the rain and snow, increases durability, creating a jacket for daily use for women that demand style and performance.
 

This clothing has been conceptualised and developed by the Astore design team.
For Import Arrasate it is a great honour to be distinguished once again with the APEX awards. It is recognition of our way of doing things and recognition that we are on the right track, in innovation and quality. Feedback from users is very important, as well as daily sales, to give us your opinion on the brand and our products through various mediums and participatory tools (like Sport panel, social networks, etc).
