Ciudad de Burgos (Female League)
Club Baloncesto Ciudad de Burgos is one of the classic top-category teams in national women’s basketball. It was founded in September 1996 and in that same season it began to compete in the female category as a result of the merge between Baloncesto Burgos and Club Baloncesto Alfa, who granted it all its rights and obligations. C.B. Burgos was founded in the 1970s and rose to the 1st Division B in the 93/94 season. C.B. Alfa was created in 1986 and achieved promotion to the 1st Division B in the 1990-91 season.
Since its foundation in 1996, Club Baloncesto Ciudad de Burgos has always been a member of the Spanish basketball elite. Finishing as runners-up in the Queen’s Cup in their third season was a landmark in the club’s history.
They currently compete in the Female League-2.
