Bidasoa Irun (Honour Division B)
Club Deportivo Bidasoa is a handball team from Irun in Gipuzkoa province, founded in 1962 and which currently competes in Honour Division B. It is one of the most successful clubs in Europe.
In 1986 it won its first Spanish League trophy, to be followed by many more with a further league victory in 94/95, two King’s Cups (90/91 and 95/96) and the ASOBAL Cup (92/93). On a European level, it has won the European Cup (94/95), which together with the European Cup Winner’s Cup (96/97) has made the team a reference point in Europe and rival to be reckoned with in top European competitions.
